According to statistics from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, on the afternoon of June 5th, 461 candidates were absent from the first day of the exam, when they went to the examination centers to complete the registration procedures and listen to the regulations being explained.
Speaking with a reporter from SGGP newspaper, Ho Tan Minh, Chief of the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, said that on the morning of June 5th, a total of 96,334 candidates came to the examination centers to complete the procedures for the exam.
Thus, compared to the total number of registered candidates, 461 students across the city were absent on the first morning of registration.

"Candidates who did not come to the examination center to complete the registration procedures this morning are still allowed to participate in the exam as usual. During the first exam session, which is Literature, they will be briefed on the exam regulations by the invigilators, reminded of some necessary rules, and will participate in the exam normally like other candidates," Mr. Ho Tan Minh said.

This morning, it was observed that some candidates still went to the wrong exam locations, bringing backpacks with many unnecessary items when arriving at the exam centers to complete the registration procedures. Therefore, the heads of the exam centers reminded all invigilators to thoroughly explain the regulations and instruct candidates to only bring necessary items into the exam room.
Tomorrow morning (June 6th), candidates will take the first exam, Literature, with a time limit of 120 minutes. In the afternoon of the same day, they will continue with the Foreign Language exam.
On the same day, information from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training indicated that nine candidates across the city needed assistance during the two days of the 10th grade entrance exam. Of these, one candidate was hearing-impaired and eight candidates had been involved in accidents and required assistance during the exams.
Specifically, at the Phong Phu Secondary School examination center (Binh Chanh district), one hearing-impaired candidate was assisted with using specialized equipment during the exam. In addition, at eight other examination centers, including Doan Thi Diem Secondary School (District 3), Nguyen Hue Secondary School (District 12), Nguyen Khuyen High School (District 10), Tan Thanh Dong Secondary School (Cu Chi district), Trung My Tay 1 Secondary School, Tam Dong 1 Secondary School (Hoc Mon district), Phong Phu Secondary School (Binh Chanh district), Phan Tay Ho Secondary School (Go Vap district), and Nguyen Huu Huan High School (Thu Duc City), invigilators will be assigned to write the answers for candidates who have had accidents.
