On the afternoon of June 5, according to statistics from the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the entire city had 461 candidates absent on the first day of coming to the examination sites to complete the exam procedures and listen to the regulations.
Speaking with SGGP Newspaper reporters, Ho Tan Minh, Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that on the morning of June 5, a total of 96,334 candidates came to the examination sites to complete exam registration procedures.
Thus, compared to the total number of candidates registered for the exam, the whole city had 461 students absent on the first morning of registration.

"Candidates who did not come to the exam site to complete the exam procedures this morning can still take the exam as usual. On the first exam session for Literature, the exam invigilators will brief the students on the exam regulations, remind them of some necessary regulations and take the exam as usual like other candidates," said Mr. Ho Tan Minh.

This morning, it was noted that there were still cases of candidates going to the wrong exam location, bringing backpacks with many unnecessary items when going to the exam locations to complete the exam procedures. Accordingly, the heads of the exam locations have reminded all exam invigilators to thoroughly disseminate the regulations, instructing candidates to only bring necessary items when entering the exam room area.
Tomorrow morning (June 6), candidates will take the first exam, Literature, with a duration of 120 minutes. In the afternoon of the same day, they will continue to take the Foreign Language exam.
On the same day, information from the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City said that the entire city had 9 candidates needing support during the 2 days of the 10th grade entrance exam. Among them, there was 1 deaf candidate and 8 candidates who had accidents and needed support during the exams.
Specifically, at the Phong Phu Secondary School (Binh Chanh District) exam site, one deaf candidate was assisted with a specialized device during the exam. In addition, at 8 other exam sites including: Doan Thi Diem Secondary School (District 3), Nguyen Hue Secondary School (District 12), Nguyen Khuyen High School (District 10), Tan Thanh Dong Secondary School (Cu Chi District), Trung My Tay 1 Secondary School, Tam Dong 1 Secondary School (Hoc Mon District), Phong Phu Secondary School (Binh Chanh District), Phan Tay Ho Secondary School (Go Vap District) and Nguyen Huu Huan High School (Thu Duc City) will arrange for invigilators to write the exam papers for the candidates who had an accident.
