In 2024, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, 22 key activities will be comprehensively deployed in many fields such as: Propaganda, education, emulation, rewards; culture, literature, arts, sports; displays, exhibitions, fairs; seminars, talks, meetings, exchanges and policy activities, mass mobilization, gratitude...
In particular, the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024, taking place at Gia Lam Airport (Long Bien District) from December 19 to 22, is a highlight in a series of events celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day.
In addition, in November and December, there were outstanding activities such as: The entire army carried out the peak emulation "Proud of tradition - Continuing the feats - worthy of Uncle Ho's soldiers"; broadcast 60 episodes of the TV series Timeless, the documentary films Father and Son Soldiers, Stepping forward under the military flag;
According to information from the Ministry of National Defense, more than 1,830 commemorative works, worth about 260 billion VND, were completed on this occasion.
Agencies, units, and localities coordinated to provide financial support for the renovation and embellishment of places of worship (at home) for 32/34 soldiers of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army, with a total amount of 2.56 billion VND.
