Deploying the peak of anti-smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods

From November 1, 2024 to March 1, 2025, the Provincial Market Management Department will deploy a peak plan to combat smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the last months of 2024; before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2025 in the province.

The provincial Market Management force has strengthened the inspection and control of goods at the end of the year in Phu Tho town.

Accordingly, the Provincial Market Management Department effectively implemented the directives of the Government, the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Industry and Trade , the General Department of Market Management, the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee 389 in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods. Focus on market inspection and control and strictly handle administrative violations of goods with high consumer demand at the end of the year and Lunar New Year such as: Tobacco, alcohol, beer, soft drinks, sugar, food, electronics, refrigeration, clothing, footwear, livestock, poultry, products processed from livestock, poultry, firecrackers, fireworks of all kinds; especially control goods traded in the online environment such as: E-commerce platforms, websites, social networks such as Facebook, Tiktok, ..., check the quality of goods, compliance with legal regulations on standards, technical regulations, national and promulgation of standards of goods quality, food safety.

Strengthen coordination with functional forces and local authorities, regularly review and inspect the circulation stage, check warehouses, goods gathering points, commercial centers, supermarkets, wholesale markets, food production and trading establishments, craft villages... At the same time, coordinate between units in the industry to implement inspection and control work to achieve the highest efficiency and in accordance with the provisions of law.

Coordinate with mass media agencies to promote propaganda on market inspection and control activities during peak periods; combine inspection and handling of violations with mobilizing organizations and individuals engaged in commercial activities in the area to participate in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods in diverse and practical forms; sign commitments not to produce or trade in counterfeit, smuggled, or poor-quality goods; inspect businesses that have signed commitments and strictly handle violations.

Strengthen inspection, supervision, promptly urge and rectify the implementation of public service activities of civil servants according to regulations; strictly handle groups and individuals who violate the law in performing public duties. Pay attention to and improve the effectiveness of emulation and reward work to create motivation to strive to excellently complete assigned tasks.
