On June 23, Quang Nam Provincial Police said that the Provincial Police's Internal Security Department had just coordinated with Duy Xuyen District Police to eradicate the "Church of God the Mother" activity site in Nam Phuoc town (Duy Xuyen district).

This group was organized at the house of subject NHT (born in 1998, residing in Nam Phuoc town).

On June 22, authorities discovered 11 people (5 men, 4 women, 2 children) being instructed by NHT to study the Bible at the "Church of God the Mother".

Immediately afterwards, the police agency drew up a record, seized documents related to the "Church of God the Mother", invited the subjects to work and handled them according to regulations.

According to Duy Xuyen District Police, in recent times, the activities of the "Church of God the Mother" have had many negative aspects, contrary to Vietnamese customs and social ethics, showing signs of superstition and taking advantage of religious teachings for personal gain.

The activities of this organization have greatly impacted the lives of many families, negatively affecting social peace.

In addition to having to donate a lot of assets to the organization, the followers of the "Church of God the Mother" also have to spend a lot of time propagating and attracting others to join, leading to a group of followers not sending their children to school, and even not having the time or conditions to get married and have children.

In particular, the propagandists say that every year is the “end of the world” so they must make sacrifices and develop more followers to go to heaven. If they see others not following them and do not preach, they must take the blame for that person.

Duy Xuyen District Police advise people not to listen to or believe the arguments of the “Church of God the Mother”. At the same time, they encourage people to promptly report to the police if they discover people participating in groups.
