Upon receiving orders from superiors to use helicopters for emergency rescue operations, the Southern Helicopter Company quickly deployed a combat-ready flight crew to carry out the rescue mission using EC225 helicopters—a specialized aircraft capable of long-range flights and performing well in complex maritime weather conditions.

At approximately 9:30 PM on July 27th, a helicopter took off from Vung Tau airport to Tan Son Nhat airport to pick up the medical team from Military Hospital 175, then flew to Truong Sa Island to retrieve the patient. At 5:10 AM on July 28th, the helicopter landed safely on the helipad of Military Hospital 175, allowing medical personnel to receive the patient and quickly bring him in for monitoring and treatment.
This is one of many emergency medical flights in the sea and island areas that the 18th Air Force has carried out, demonstrating the unit's responsibility, courage, and professional expertise in emergency medical, rescue, and relief flights.
