After 3 days of competition with a vibrant spirit, the 2025 Army Rescue Sports Festival has completed all program content, with great success. Athletes from 14 teams have contributed to fierce and dramatic competitions, conquering each achievement step in each stage of the competition.

Colonel Tran The Hien, Deputy Director of the Rescue and Relief Department (General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army), and Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the sports competition, assessed: Throughout the competition, the referee and judge subcommittees conducted the competition fairly, honestly, and objectively. The athletes were always determined and strived to compete nobly and unitedly, while also showing humility in learning and exchanging ideas, but sharing a common aspiration to win for the flag and traditions of their unit. The results of each competition were assessed accurately, honestly, and objectively, creating trust among the participating teams.

At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented flags to the two first-place winners from the two categories (military regions and branches): the Military Region 3 Team and the 12th Army Corps Team, along with seven second-place teams and five third-place teams.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc congratulated the teams participating in the sports festival on their achievements; requested that units continue to thoroughly grasp the directives and resolutions of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense on civil defense tasks. Strengthen propaganda and education so that officers and soldiers are deeply aware of the role, functions and tasks of the Army in civil defense work. Regularly review, adjust and supplement plans and options; be ready with forces and means to participate in responding to and overcoming incidents, natural disasters, catastrophes and timely and effective search and rescue. Focus on ensuring the safety of officers and soldiers, especially those directly performing tasks.

Awards and commendations were presented to the forces that provided support and services for the sports event.

Closely integrate training with drills to improve the command and control, coordination, and response capabilities of forces in civil defense situations under difficult and complex conditions. Prioritize the training and upgrading of skills for officers at all levels, especially those at the platoon level. Based on the results of the competition, relevant agencies will continue to direct and guide units to learn from experience, improve skills, and research and apply the competition's content to training for the best possible results.
