On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), on the afternoon of April 26, a provincial delegation led by Mr. Dang Hong Sy - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial People's Mobilization Committee - visited and presented gifts to the families of Dien Bien Phu soldiers and civilian workers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign in Ham Tan district.
Accompanying them were representatives from the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Provincial Military Command, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Provincial Veterans Association, and representatives from the Standing Committee of the Ham Tan District Party Committee.
Specifically, the delegation visited the family of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - a civilian worker on the front lines in Ward 1, Tan Minh town; and the families of Dien Bien Phu soldiers Ngo Xuan Tung in Ward 2, Tan Minh town; Pham Xuan Doai - Ward 8, Tan Nghia town; and Tran Xuan Ngoc - Dong Ha village, Tan Ha commune.
During the visits to the families, on behalf of the provincial delegation, Mr. Dang Hong Sy, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, cordially inquired about the health and living conditions of the families of the war veterans and soldiers of Dien Bien Phu. He also expressed gratitude for the immense contributions and sacrifices of the Dien Bien Phu soldiers and war veterans who, together with the rest of the country, contributed to the victory at Dien Bien Phu. The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department hoped that the families of the Dien Bien Phu soldiers and war veterans would continue to uphold the revolutionary tradition, and that their children and grandchildren would follow their example in work and study, contributing to the building and development of their homeland, making it increasingly prosperous and beautiful.
During his visits, Mr. Dang Hong Sy presented gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to the families of the deceased and, together with members of the delegation, lit incense sticks to commemorate the Dien Bien Phu soldiers and civilian workers who passed away.
The families expressed their gratitude for the concern, visits, and encouragement from the provincial delegation and promised to continue upholding the revolutionary tradition and contributing their intellect and efforts to building an increasingly prosperous homeland.
