Vietnamese university wins global education 'Oscar'

The PIEoneer Awards by The PIE (Professionals in International Education) is an annual award held since 2017, to honor outstanding initiatives and efforts in the field of international education .

To have the final brightest nominations, a panel of professional judges selected from hundreds of applications to make the official list. This year, the award ceremony took place on September 5 at Guildhall, London (UK), with the participation of 148 nominations in 22 categories.

The PIEoneer Awards are recognized by the international academic community as one of the most prestigious awards in global education, honoring outstanding initiatives and communication campaigns of universities and international educational organizations, often referred to as the "Oscars of the education industry".

Participating in this award,FPT University excellently won the “Marketing Campaign of the Year” category with the campaign “STEM Education in the Age of AI”. The “Marketing Campaign of the Year” category attracted special attention, because this is the place to honor creative and inspiring marketing campaigns in global education, bringing measurable impact.

FPT University representative received the award at London City Hall (UK).

FPT University’s “STEM Education in the Age of AI” campaign is built in the context of artificial intelligence (AI) becoming a factor reshaping education and the global labor market. The campaign provides free AI training courses to more than 15,000 school leaders, teachers and students in Vietnam as well as internationally.

The campaign's activities from 2024 to present range from the "Principal 4.0" workshop with more than 1,200 school leaders, AI application training courses in teaching for 8,500 teachers, to AI experiential learning programs for more than 3,600 students and the "STEM in AI Era" course for nearly 4,700 teachers in both online and in-person formats.

With diverse training content, from Python programming, IoT, Robotics, to AI application in lesson plan design, presentations, and project work, the campaign not only enhances the digital capacity of teachers and students but also affirms the pioneering role of FPT University in bringing AI and STEM closer to Vietnamese general education, widely spread through prestigious domestic and international media channels.

Competitions and events on AI and technology for students attract hundreds of thousands of young people nationwide.

With profound social significance, the “STEM Education in the Age of AI” campaign directly contributes to realizing the goal of Resolution 57-NQ/TW on developing high-quality human resources in the digital age.

By spreading new knowledge and skills, the campaign accompanies teachers and high school students on their journey to prepare the future workforce - creative, confident, and responsible digital citizens.
