School makes a record: One class 'wins' 12 10s, average score of block A00 is almost perfect

TPO - Although the 2025 high school graduation exam under the new program is considered "difficult and strange", students of class 12A1 at Nguyen Khuyen School, Ho Chi Minh City still surprised many people when they achieved 12 scores of 10, including 9 scores of 10 in Physics. The average score of the A00 group of the whole class was up to 27.7. The entire school system recorded 242 scores of 10.

On the afternoon of July 16, Mr. Le The Nhien, homeroom teacher of class 12A1 at Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School in Ho Chi Minh City, said that out of 48 students taking the high school graduation exam, there were 9 students with 10 points in Physics, 2 students with 10 points in Chemistry and 1 student with 10 points in Math. The average total score of the A00 combination (Math - Physics - Chemistry) of the whole class was 27.7 points.

Mr. Nhien said that 2025 is the first year of the high school graduation exam according to the 2018 Program, assessing students' abilities and qualities is a big challenge for teachers and high school students. "The fact that the students in the class achieved high results and especially got 12 points of 10 is a surprise and joy because after the end of the exam, this year's exam was assessed as difficult and completely new according to the program," Mr. Nhien said.

Students of class 12A1 have an average score of 27.7 in group A00.

Mr. Tran Quang Huy - Vice Principal of Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School System said that the system has 3 member schools including Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School in Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School in Binh Duong and Le Thanh Tong Secondary and High School this year, they got a bumper score of 10 in the high school graduation exam with 242 students achieving the maximum score.

Specifically, at Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School in Ho Chi Minh City, 51 out of 512 students took the exam, 51 got 10 points; Le Thanh Tong Secondary and High School had 89 10 points and Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School in Binh Duong had 102 10 points. Among them, Tran Duc Tai (class 12B1) achieved the maximum score in Block B with 3 10 points in Math - Chemistry - Biology.

In addition to having a "huge" score of 10, the average exam score of the school's students is also quite high, with an average of 21 to over 27 points for a combination of 3 subjects for university admission.

According to Mr. Huy, the achievements in the exam were due to the school training soft skills and developing capacity and qualities for students right from grade 10 according to the 2018 General Education Program (through extracurricular activities, study club activities, sports activities, presentations every Monday morning, ...).

"The learning environment is mainly for students staying in the school's dormitory, maintaining order, discipline, and independence, creating habits for students to study independently, combining eating, living, activities, and studying reasonably...", Mr. Huy shared more.
