Polish Film Week in Vietnam 2025, organized by the Department of Cinema (Ministry of Culture , Sports and Tourism) in coordination with the Association of Polish Film Producers, is a cultural exchange activity, introducing to the Vietnamese public the country and people of Poland through films with rich themes and attractive content, aiming to strengthen the Vietnam-Poland friendship.
The opening ceremony of Polish Film Week in Vietnam 2025 will take place on December 5, 2025 at the National Cinema Center, Hanoi.
Seven films premiered during the Polish Film Week include “Entropia” by Anna Fam-Rieskaniemi; “Blacksheep” by Aleksander Pietrzak; “Feast of fire” by Kinga Dębska; “Pianoforte” by Jakub Piątek; “Kulej. All that glitters isn't gold” by Xawery Zulawski; “Horry story” by Adrian Apanel and “Off we go” by Mariusz Kuczewski.

The film “Entropia” by director Anna Fam-Rieskaniemi. The film tells the story of May choosing an irreversible action, thereby creating great chaos instead of keeping balance for her own world. “Entropy” is not only a Polish-Vietnamese cultural clash, but also a journey to peel away “social chaos”, where painful questions force us to face and take responsibility for ourselves. Invisible losses, once happened, can never be recovered.
The film “Blacksheep” by director: Aleksander Pietrzak, tells the story of Magda and Arek’s family, which everyone sees as a model of peace: 25 years of stable marriage, caring for a seriously ill grandfather, living with an online famous son and his long-term girlfriend. Everything is “fine”… until things go wrong. Magda, a teacher at a Catholic high school, hides her attraction to women. Arek has been unemployed for a long time, and Tomek, a famous YouTuber, is mainly motivated by personal gain.
Things get complicated when Magda decides to follow her heart, Asia breaks up with Tomek, her grandfather suddenly disappears, and Arek struggles to put his life back together. As their troubles, conflicts, and long-suppressed desires finally explode, each person begins to live their own lives. Will they all find their own path to happiness?
Kinga Dębska’s “Feast of Fire ” tells the story of 20-year-old Nastka, who tells her own story from behind a small window, where she sees a world that her cerebral palsy prevents her from reaching. Outside that window is the life of her devoted father, who has never faced the pain of losing his wife, and her sister Łucja, an aspiring ballet dancer, who is willing to give up everything to shine.
Until a devastating injury forces Łucja to take a hard look at her life… and all the hate is directed at her sister. Change comes from the most unexpected source: Józefina, her eccentric but warm neighbor. Thanks to Józefina, Nastka passes her final exams, Poldek learns to heal the past, and the family finds common ground after years of silence. As her wounds heal, Łucja abandons her glamorous dreams on stage and chooses street dancing, where she can truly be herself. Sometimes, only by letting go of old dreams can we reach the things we once wanted.
Director Jakub Piątek's film “Pianoforte” tells the story of the world's finest young piano talents converging in Warsaw, Poland, where the International Chopin Piano Competition, held every five years, decides the moment of history.
"The Song of Glory" opens a rare behind-the-scenes look at that fierce journey: the moments of brilliant sublimation, painful failures, and moments of facing oneself. Not only a story about music, the film is also a journey of maturity of young artists standing between passion, pressure and the desire to reach the top.

The film “Kulej - Behind the glitter (Kulej. All that glitters isn't gold) ” by director Xawery Zulawski tells the story of Jerzy and Helena Kulej, Poland's most passionate couple of the 1960s. He is a boxing legend: two-time European champion, eight-time national champion, the only Polish boxer to win two Olympic Gold Medals.
No one could defeat him in the fight, but life outside the boxing ring brought him down many times. Helena, a strong woman always stood by his side, but refused to stand behind her husband's glory forever.
The film covers the period from 1964 to 1968: from the glorious victory in Tokyo to the miracle of repeating in Mexico, where both fame and pressure push their marriage to the limit. Amid the halo of the era and the weight of expectation, their love is fiercely tested by the very thing that makes the legend: victory. The film is not just the story of a champion, but the battle for survival of a marriage in the spotlight.
The film “Horry Story” by director: Adrian Apanel, the film is a coming of age story and a sharp satire about the modern job market. Tomek, a new graduate, is determined to win a prestigious position in a corporation to win back his ex-girlfriend.
While looking for a job, he moves into a cheap, haunted house-style room. But as time goes by, Tomek realizes that the real horror lies not in the house or its eerie inhabitants, but in the intense and ruthless job hunt outside. Sometimes, the biggest fear is not what you see, but what you face in real life.
Mariusz Kuczewski’s “Off We Go” is a funny and touching story about a family in turmoil. Things start to get heated when two elderly people, Józiek and Ela, decide to embark on a trip around Poland. They want to enjoy the trip their own way: laugh a lot, take risks and love like they did in their 20s.
But when their son refuses to let them go on this trip, the mischievous grandparents steal the legendary Nysa. An adventure filled with laughter, love and unexpected moments.
