Tuy Phong urgently fixes the overflow

Ms. Nguyen Nu Thanh Loan, Secretary of Tuy Phong Commune Party Committee, Lam Dong Province said: Due to the influence of heavy rain upstream, the amount of water flowing into streams such as Tang Lai Stream and Ho Tao Stream suddenly increased the water flow in these streams, leading to flooding, affecting some production areas and trees and crops of some households in the downstream area of ​​3 villages: Tuy Tinh 1 Village, Tuy Tinh 2 Village, Village 2, Tuy Phong Commune. At the same time, the large amount of water flowing in caused a section of Suoi Mang - Cay Ca canal to break, causing great damage to land and property of people in the downstream area.

At around 6 p.m., heavy rain lasting for several hours combined with overflowing reservoirs of the Viet Farm project, along with steep terrain and a small drainage system, caused water to rush downstream, causing damage to crops and some people's property. Notably, the flood swept away 4 people, of whom 3 were rescued.

Immediately after the incident, local authorities and functional forces evacuated people in flood-prone areas to safe locations; at the same time, urgently organized a search for victims and responded to the natural disaster.

Currently, the local government and functional forces are implementing measures to support the family to bury the victim in the spirit that the local government will support the victim in every way. The victim is a girl named Le Nguyen Bich T. (born in 2012), village 2, Tuy Phong commune.

On the morning of November 2, the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee directed Tuy Phong Commune, the Civil Defense Command... to urgently fix the incident, immediately implement solutions to ensure safety for the existing water storage area, and avoid the risk of the incident recurring. Urgently mobilize forces to support affected households to quickly overcome the consequences.
