For leading scientists, it is necessary to meet 5 criteria on experience and capacity: leading a research group or laboratory; presiding over a scientific-technological topic or project; having works published in prestigious scientific journals or owning exclusive invention or patent rights; having experience in teaching and guiding graduate students; having domestic and international relationships and cooperation.

What is the salary and income of scientists?

In addition to the general welfare policy of Ho Chi Minh City National University, recruited scientists will enjoy additional welfare policies of each unit where they directly work.

In this second recruitment announcement, the University of Technology announced its remuneration policy for Vietnamese candidates, including: salary according to state regulations (PhD has coefficient 3.0) of 5.5 million VND/month and salary according to job position of 18 million VND/month.

For foreign candidates, the University of Technology plans to pay 3 times the salary for the job position compared to the salary for the corresponding job position of Vietnamese candidates. In addition, the school supports 2 round-trip air tickets/year; supports stable living conditions for the first 3 months; supports documents and procedures during the process of personnel working at the school.

University of Science announced the salary according to state regulations is 5.4 million VND/month, the salary according to job position is 20 million VND/month.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities also offers two salary levels for Vietnamese and foreign candidates. In particular, Vietnamese candidates, in addition to the state-regulated salary of 5.4 million VND, will receive a salary based on their job position of 15 million VND/month.

For foreign candidates, the salary for the job position is 2 times higher than the salary for the corresponding job position of Vietnamese candidates. Supported with 2 round-trip air tickets/year, support with documents and procedures during the working process at the school.

The salary offered by the University of Information Technology is 5.4 million VND/month (state-regulated salary) and 18 million VND/month (job position). In addition, candidates admitted to the school are supported with scientific articles in the ISI/Scopus category up to 200 million VND/year. In the first year, candidates are granted 1 school-level scientific research topic with a budget of 35 million VND.

The International University announced more attractive salaries. In particular, Vietnamese candidates receive a salary based on their job position of 23.2 million VND/month in addition to the state-regulated salary of 5.4 million VND/month. Foreign candidates receive a salary and allowance of 30 million VND/month.

The University of Economics and Law stipulates specific income levels for candidates with different academic titles and work experience. In particular, Vietnamese candidates with more than 3 years of experience, the average income of a doctor is 28 million VND/month, associate professor 45 million VND/month, professor 51 million VND/month. In addition to the monthly income as mentioned above, the school also has a policy to attract new candidates to the school for professors at 350 million VND, associate professors 250 million VND, and doctors 150 million VND.
