Tuyen Quang proactively sources funding to implement 2-session teaching/day

On August 21, information from the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province, implementing the Prime Minister's Directive on organizing 2 sessions/day of teaching and summer activities for children and students; at the same time closely following the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training , Mr. Phan Huy Ngoc, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province issued a document directing departments, branches and localities to urgently prepare conditions for implementation from the 2025-2026 school year.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province directed and assigned the following tasks: The Department of Education and Training shall preside over and coordinate with departments, branches and local authorities to mobilize social resources to organize 2-session teaching/day in accordance with actual conditions.

Key tasks include: reviewing and upgrading facilities and teaching equipment; prioritizing investment in remote, isolated and border areas; building pilot models for replication; and at the same time, ensuring policies for students and teachers.

The Department of Finance advises on budget allocation, coordinates research on policies to support lunch for students in disadvantaged areas, along with plans to pay teachers for extra teaching hours.

Along with that, the Department of Home Affairs is responsible for coordinating to review and supplement the payroll, ensuring the recruitment of sufficient quantity and quality of teachers, avoiding local surpluses and shortages; guiding the signing of contracts with experts, artisans, and athletes to participate in teaching skills, arts, and sports .

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates to effectively exploit existing cultural and sports institutions such as libraries, museums, cultural houses, stadiums, etc. to serve educational activities; supports connecting artisans and coaches with schools.

For the People's Committees of communes and wards, it is required to proactively review conditions at educational institutions, direct the development of specific plans to implement teaching 2 sessions/day, and at the same time mobilize and create conditions for organizations and individuals to participate in socialization to contribute resources, build facilities, and purchase equipment for educational institutions.
