TYM - Hai Phong Branch accompanies women in economic development

TYM - Hai Phong Branch has contributed to helping many women's union member families have more conditions to develop production, stabilize their lives and escape poverty sustainably.

In the third quarter of 2025, Tinh Thuong Microfinance Organization (TYM) - Hai Phong Branch supported 1,317 women to access appropriate loans with a total capital of more than 64 billion VND, contributing to helping many families have more conditions to develop production, stabilize their lives and escape poverty sustainably.

As the first official microfinance organization in Vietnam founded by the Vietnam Women's Union, TYM not only provides convenient and safe financial services but also affirms its pioneering role in economic empowerment for women, especially poor and disadvantaged women.

In Hai Phong, to achieve the above positive results, the branch always closely coordinates with local authorities, Women's Union and Labor Federations at all levels to expand microcredit coverage, promote policies and support women to access capital more conveniently.

In parallel, implementing TYM's orientation to support customers, TYM - Hai Phong Branch has implemented many flexible activities such as: Reducing interest rates for loans of some types of capital to share difficulties with customers; adding medium-term loan terms to help women be more proactive in production and business plans; expanding propaganda on multi-purpose loans and salary-based loans for union members at the facilities, helping workers access safe, legal and low-cost capital sources. In particular, the movement to mobilize savings from the smallest amounts continues to spread strongly, helping women form the habit of saving, creating a sustainable financial foundation for the future.

TYM - Hai Phong Branch is currently operating in 36 communes, wards, and special zones in the eastern part of the city, with 9,296 women members participating, with outstanding loans reaching over VND 202.6 billion and savings of over VND 64 billion. Nearly 1,000 members benefit from non-financial activities (social security).

Not only focusing on financial activities, TYM - Hai Phong Branch also focuses on social security activities, spreading the spirit of charity in the community. In the third quarter of 2025, the branch sponsored 2 children in especially difficult circumstances, and presented 7 gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, policy families and former youth volunteers on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).

The results achieved in the past time show that TYM - Hai Phong Branch is not only a reliable companion of women in economic development, but also a socially responsible organization, contributing to realizing the goal of "for a comprehensive and sustainable financial future for Vietnamese women".
