In the third quarter of 2025, the Tinh Thuong Microfinance Organization (TYM) - Hai Phong Branch supported 1,317 women in accessing suitable loan capital totaling over 64 billion VND, contributing to helping many families have better conditions to develop production, stabilize their lives and rise out of poverty sustainably.
As the first official microfinance institution in Vietnam founded by the Vietnam Women's Union, TYM not only provides convenient and safe financial services but also affirms its pioneering role in empowering women economically , especially poor and disadvantaged women.
In Hai Phong, to achieve the positive results mentioned above, the branch has always closely coordinated with local authorities, the Women's Union, and the Labor Union at all levels to expand the coverage of microcredit, disseminate policies, and support women in accessing capital more easily.
In parallel, following TYM's direction to support customers, TYM - Hai Phong Branch has implemented many flexible activities such as: reducing interest rates on certain types of loans to share the difficulties with customers; adding medium-term loan terms to help women be more proactive in their production and business plans; expanding the promotion of multi-purpose loans and salary-based loans for union members at various establishments, helping workers access safe, legal, and low-cost capital. In particular, the movement to mobilize savings from the smallest amounts continues to spread strongly, helping women form a habit of saving and creating a sustainable financial foundation for the future.
TYM - Hai Phong Branch currently operates in 36 communes, wards, and special zones in the eastern part of the city, with 9,296 female members participating, outstanding loans exceeding 202.6 billion VND, and savings exceeding 64 billion VND. Nearly 1,000 members benefit from non-financial activities (social welfare).
Beyond its financial activities, TYM - Hai Phong Branch also focuses on social welfare activities, spreading a spirit of compassion in the community. In the third quarter of 2025, the branch sponsored two children with particularly difficult circumstances, and also presented seven gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, families of policy beneficiaries, and former youth volunteers on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27).
The achievements over the past period show that TYM - Hai Phong Branch is not only a reliable partner for women in economic development, but also a socially responsible organization, contributing to realizing the goal of "for an inclusive and sustainable financial future for Vietnamese women".
