Provincial People's Committee deploys key tasks for the last 3 months of 2023

On October 2, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to review the direction and management of socio -economic development in the first 9 months and deploy key tasks for the last 3 months of 2023. Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting. Attending the meeting were Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Phan Tan Canh, Le Huyen and leaders of departments, branches and localities.

In the first 9 months of 2023, with the close direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, along with the spirit of efforts of the entire political system, the consensus and overcoming difficulties of the people and the business community, the socio-economic situation has changed positively and increased quite well in the context of many difficulties. The gross domestic product (GRDP) of the province is estimated at 19,345 billion VND, up 8.67%; the budget revenue is estimated at 2,720 billion VND, equal to 74.4%; the total social investment capital reached 13,425 billion VND, reaching 60.5% of the annual plan. The policy of restructuring the agricultural sector associated with the application of science and technology, adapting to climate change has been focused on implementation, high-tech agriculture has achieved positive results. The industrial and construction sector continued to recover and grow strongly, boosting the added value of the whole industry to VND 6,640 billion, up 14.67%, reaching 75.3% of the plan; investment promotion and attraction were promoted; state management of land, minerals and environmental protection was strengthened. Activities to promote, advertise and stimulate trade and tourism were focused on, revenue from tourism activities increased by 32.8% over the same period; total retail sales of goods and service revenue increased by 16.86%. Digital transformation has made remarkable progress, completing 13/19 digital transformation targets planned for 2023; the banking system operates stably and safely, bad debt is controlled. The education, health, labor and employment sectors continue to improve; social security policies are fully and promptly implemented; national defense and security are maintained.

In addition to the achieved results, there are still some limitations such as: Manufacturing and processing industry, service sectors, product taxes increased slowly; the progress of disbursement of public investment capital is slow, seafood exports have decreased sharply. The bottlenecks in energy, investment and land policies are slow to be resolved. Child injuries and accidents still occur; social order and safety are complicated, some types of drug-related crimes and black credit are on the rise... At the meeting, departments, branches and localities pointed out the advantages and difficulties in performing tasks since the beginning of the year; proposed solutions to enhance the coordination role between units to ensure the completion of the set targets in the last 3 months of the year.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said that although the economic growth rate increased quite a bit, it had not yet reached the set target. The tasks for the remaining months are extremely difficult, he suggested that departments, branches and localities need to implement more drastic breakthrough solutions to comprehensively complete the annual plan; accordingly, continue to effectively implement the policy of developing high-tech agriculture , expanding effective production models, exploiting the advantages of producing high-quality shrimp seeds, sustainable aquaculture; strengthen forest management and protection, and improve the criteria for building new rural areas. Support to remove difficulties, promote growth for the processing industry, some products with a large proportion and power transmission infrastructure projects; strictly manage budget revenue and expenditure; accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital and career capital for national target programs; Complete planning projects, programs and projects on housing, urban and residential area development. Strengthen cooperation in promoting, advertising and improving the quality of tourism services and prepare well for the organization of the Kate Festival 2023; focus on educational innovation; prevent and control epidemics; implement social security policies, vocational training associated with job creation and labor export. Improve the direction and operation of the state apparatus, reform administrative procedures, reform public services; grasp and promptly handle incidents of insecurity and disorder; complete the resolution submissions for the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Council meetings at the end of the year.
