The concert "Brother Overcoming a Thousand Obstacles" in Hung Yen sold out so quickly that audience members had to buy tickets on the black market.
On November 12th, the concert "Brother Overcoming a Thousand Obstacles" became a hot topic on social media. Within 40 minutes of tickets going on sale, all tickets for the show were sold out. At one point, the number of people waiting to buy tickets reached over 150,000.
Due to overwhelming demand for tickets, many people resorted to buying them on the "black market," with advertisements offering internal tickets, sponsored tickets, complimentary tickets, etc. On the social media platform Threads, one account shared a message quoting a price for a Kindergarten ticket (original price 800,000 VND) being resold for 6 million VND - equivalent to 12 million VND per pair, or a pair of XVIP tickets (listed at 8 million VND per ticket) being inflated to 26 million VND.
Tickets in categories close to the stage, such as Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, Big Fish, and Ripe, sold out almost within minutes. Even the Nursery class, which was considered far from the stage and difficult to sell, was completely sold out after 40 minutes.
"From calculating which class of seat to travel in, now I'm searching for every class of ticket, I'll buy any ticket that's available," "I've already bought plane tickets and booked hotel rooms, but now I can't get a ticket," "I've been hunting for tickets since the very first seconds but still couldn't book one in time. Looking at the queue with nearly 100,000 people is so frustrating"... these are some of the comments from viewers.
Some fans even messaged MC Khanh Vy, the show's dancers, and the concert's lighting director to... ask for their tickets to be transferred.
Many "talented" artists like Rhymastic, BB Tran, Tien Luat, and Jun Pham were also surprised by the incredibly fast ticket sales for the show in Hung Yen.
Previously, at his concert in Ho Chi Minh City, Rhymastic mentioned the phrase "show tickets sold out in 1 hour." Now, that phrase has gone viral on social media.
With two sold-out concerts, MC Thanh Trung called it a miracle for the 33 talented artists after four months of working together, practicing, and delivering impressive performances. Singer Pham Khanh Hung even requested an additional concert because many fans were disappointed and saddened by not being able to buy tickets.
Compared to night 1, night 2 in Hung Yen saw tickets sell out twice as fast. This caught many fans off guard and they missed the opportunity to buy tickets.
Some sources suggest that the program's sponsor holds a large number of tickets and will be giving them away to the audience through various promotional programs and product experiences.
The second concert of "Brother Who Overcame a Thousand Obstacles" has 3 ticket categories including standing, seated, and VIP lounge, with 11 different price levels.
Specifically, the standing ticket group will include Big Fish and Spring Summer Autumn Winter 1, 2, 3, 4 (1,800,000 VND); Ginger Jam 1, 2 (1,200,000 VND); Nursery 1, 2 (800,000 VND). The seated ticket group includes: Peak of the Roof, Theater on the Ground (3,500,000 VND); Fluttering in the Wind 1, 2 (2,500,000 VND); Essence, Bright Star, Children's (2,000,000 VND); KaKa, Cactus, Passion (1,500,000 VND); Rebirth, Theater, Five Elements (800,000 VND). The VIP ticket group: X-VIP 1, 2 is priced at 8,000,000 VND, sold in packages of 10 tickets.
