
Specifically, from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on October 20, the Traffic Police force of 34 localities controlled 65,207 drivers (1,948 passenger cars, 3,883 trucks, 13,422 cars, 44,704 motorbikes, 11 special-purpose cars, 1,239 rudimentary vehicles); detected and recorded 2,808 cases of alcohol concentration violations (1 passenger car, 17 trucks, 84 cars, 2,664 motorbikes, 42 rudimentary vehicles and other vehicles).
Through analysis of the age of violations, the Traffic Police Department said that violations are mainly among middle-aged people, from 35 to 55 years old. Of which, violators under 18 years old account for 2.7% (75 cases), from 18 to 35 years old account for 31.4% (881 cases); from 36 to 55 years old account for 55.2% (1,550 cases), over 55 years old account for 10.8% (302 cases).
The Traffic Police Department continues to direct the Traffic Police force to regularly control alcohol concentration at the same time nationwide until the habit of not driving after drinking alcohol is established. This control will create uniformity nationwide to prevent violations and traffic accidents related to alcohol concentration. In addition, local Traffic Police still organize to control alcohol concentration violations and handle them according to the functions and characteristics of the area.
