VN-Index increased by more than 5 points, foreign investors sold MSN shares heavily

NDO - In the trading session on October 31, investors' caution made the market quite gloomy, most stock groups only fluctuated slightly in the morning session. In the afternoon session, demand suddenly increased, in which many pillar stocks such as: CTG, VCB, VIC, ACB... broke out, helping the main indices expand their increase. At the end of the session, VN-Index increased by 5.85 points to 1,264.48 points.


On the HoSE floor, the matched order value this session decreased compared to the previous session, reaching more than 10,971.09 billion VND.

Foreign investors net sold 1,665 billion VND on HoSE. On the buying side, VPB shares were bought the most (88 billion VND), followed by CTG (44 billion VND), VIX (25 billion VND)...

On the contrary, MSN was sold the most (17.3 million units, equivalent to a value of more than 1,300 billion VND), followed by VHM (205 billion VND), STB (71 billion VND)...

Today's session, the VN30 group of stocks closed with 18 stocks increasing, 2 stocks remaining unchanged and 10 stocks decreasing.

Of which, CTG increased by 2.73% to VND35,700/share, VCB increased by 2.07% to VND93,600/share, VIC increased by 1.34%, ACB increased by 1.2%, STB increased by 1.15%, VJC increased by 1.06%, BCM increased by 1.05%.

Codes: BID, BVH, GVR, MBB, MWG, SHB, SSB, SSI, TPB, VHM, VPB increased slightly.

Two stop codes at the reference include: FPT, SAB.

On the other hand, MSN and VRE both decreased by 1.92%, down to VND76,600/share and VND17,850/share respectively, HDB decreased by 1.1%.

The remaining codes, GAS, HPG, PLX, POW, TCB, VIB, VNM decreased slightly.

In terms of industry groups, the securities group mainly fluctuated slightly in the dominant green color. Specifically, AGR increased by 0.28%, BSI increased by 0.53%, CTS increased by 1.08%, DSE increased by 0.41%, FTS increased by 0.72%, HCM increased by 1.59%, SSI increased by 0.95%, TCI increased by 1.08%, TVB increased by 0.78%, TVS increased by 0.47%, VCI increased by 0.87%, VDS increased by 0.5%, VIX increased by 0.92%, VND increased by 0.34%. On the contrary, APG decreased by 0.22%, ORS decreased by 1.04%.

Banking stocks traded quite positively in the afternoon session when many large codes broke out strongly, helping the main indices expand their gains. In addition to the codes: ACB, BID, CTG, HDB, MBB, SHB, SSB, STB, TCB, TPB, VCB, VPB, VIB in the VN30 group mentioned above, the remaining codes: EIB decreased by 0.25%, LPB increased by 1.23%, MSB increased by 0.82%, OCB decreased by 0.87%, NAB decreased by 0.31%.

Real estate stocks closed up, of which CKG increased by 6.4%, ITC increased by 1.38%, NLG increased by 1.14%, QCG increased by 6.25%, TLD increased by 3.85%,...

On the contrary, steel stocks traded quite negatively when they were almost completely covered in red, with TLH down 3.11% to VND4,980/share, SMC down 1.63%, HSG down 0.49%, HPG down 0.37%. On the contrary, HMC increased 0.45%, DTL and NKG stopped at the reference price.

* The Vietnamese stock market index increased sharply in the afternoon session today, VNXALL-Index closed up 5.7 points (+0.27%), to 2,099.08 points. Liquidity in the whole market, with trading volume reaching 560.64 million units, equivalent to trading value reaching 17,973.67 billion VND. In the whole market, there were 176 stocks increasing in price, 96 stocks remaining unchanged and 182 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 226.36 points, up 0.49 points (+0.22%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 35.94 million units transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND584.77 billion. The entire floor had 69 stocks increasing, 59 stocks remaining unchanged and 86 stocks decreasing.

The HNX30 index closed up 1.23 points (+0.25%) at 487.33 points. Trading volume reached over 19.72 million units, with a corresponding value of over VND414.79 billion. The HNX30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 8 stocks increasing, 9 stocks remaining unchanged and 13 stocks decreasing.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM Index decreased, closing at 92.38 points, down 0.08 points (-0.09%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached more than 28.36 million shares, corresponding trading value reached more than 367.80 billion VND. The UPCoM group of stocks ended the trading day with 132 stocks increasing, 95 stocks remaining unchanged and 125 stocks decreasing.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed up 5.85 points (+0.46%) to 1,264.48 points. Liquidity reached over 603.31 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND17,834.80 billion. The entire floor had 199 stocks increasing, 67 stocks remaining unchanged and 169 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index increased by 4.75 points (+0.36%) to 1,338.60 points. Liquidity reached more than 309.75 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND12,866.28 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 18 stocks increasing, 2 stocks remaining unchanged and 10 stocks decreasing.

The five stocks with the highest trading volume were VHM (over 23.73 million units), TPB (over 19.90 million units), STB (over 17.76 million units), VPB (over 13.91 million units), VIX (over 13.70 million units).

The five stocks with the highest price increase were CIG (6.95%), PSH (6.82%), TCO (6.81%), TTE (6.61%), CKG (6.40%).

The five stocks with the biggest declines were SMA (-6.93%), HRC (-6.92%), TMT (-6.91%), TDW (-6.72%), FUCVREIT (-5.79%).

* Today's derivatives market had 202,859 contracts traded, worth VND 27,192.07 billion.
