The production team of "Meeting at the End of the Year - Táo Quân" has confirmed that in 2024, viewers will still be able to enjoy the program on New Year's Eve.
The Táo Quân (Kitchen Gods) show has been airing since 2003, on Lunar New Year's Eve. In recent years, the program has faced some controversy regarding whether or not it should continue to be broadcast.
On the afternoon of January 10th, VTV announced that the 2024 Tet Comedy Show (Táo quân) will still be broadcast on New Year's Eve.
The producers of the "Tao Quan" show have confirmed that the program will continue to air in 2024 for viewers.
Representatives from the Táo Quân production team shared that the artists are actively rehearsing for the show.
This person asserted that conflicting opinions from the audience do not affect the "fate" of the program: "Every year we face pressure, and with Táo Quân, the biggest pressure is the audience's expectations, but those expectations are also the motivation for us to try our best every year."
Official information from VTV has brought great joy to fans of the Táo Quân (Kitchen Gods) program. Previously, because the program was celebrating its 20th anniversary (Táo Quân 2023) and People's Artist Công Lý's health was not good, making it unlikely he could play the role of Bắc Đẩu, many people worried that Táo Quân 2024 would not continue to air.
Meritorious Artist Chí Trung shared a picture of the "Apples" (characters from the Lunar New Year comedy show) with the caption: "The season of falling apples in the garden."
Recently, many groups have appeared on social media where people exchange and buy/sell tickets to watch live recordings of the program, with prices ranging from 1 million VND to 8 million VND.
In fact, for many years now, the Táo Quân program has not sold tickets for live recordings, but only issued invitation tickets.
There were even rumors that Meritorious Artist Tran Luc would take on the role of director for the 2024 Tet Comedy Show. However, the artist quickly denied this information.
Earlier, Meritorious Artist Chí Trung also shared a clip on his personal page and affirmed, "There will still be Táo Quân this year."
