Navy Region 2 rescues fishermen in distress in Vietnamese waters

At about 12 noon on October 29, ship 267 of Naval Region 2 was on duty in the southern continental shelf area of ​​the Fatherland when it received a request for emergency aid for an injured fisherman on fishing boat BD30948 TS.

Fishing boat BD30948 TS is captained by Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan (born in 1977, hometown in Trieu Van commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province), with 6 crew members on board.

Ship 267 approaches fishermen in distress

Under the direction of the forward command, ship 267 quickly verified, approached and deployed a medical team to rescue the fishermen.

Upon approaching the fishermen's boat, the medical team of ship 267 obtained information, examined and determined that patient Nguyen Quang Thao, born in 1963, had an injury to his right eye due to slipping and falling hard on the ship's floor while working, resulting in a torn right eyelid.

The 267th Ship's medical team disinfected and anesthetized the wound, performed 10 stitches, bandaged the wound, and provided medication for 5 days. The patient is conscious and in stable health.

During the mission, ship 267 propagated to fishermen to strictly comply with the law on fishing and measures to ensure safety at sea.
