Hat Mon Commune opens the 1st Sports Congress - 2025

On the morning of October 26, Hat Mon commune held the opening ceremony of the 1st Sports Festival - 2025.

The event attracted thousands of officials, employees, members of the armed forces, and members of mass organizations in the commune.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ly Hoang Kien, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Hat Mon commune, said that in recent years, facilities for mass sports in the commune have continuously received investment for new construction, the quality of the physical education and sports movement has developed increasingly extensively, the number of households and people regularly practicing physical education and sports has increased steadily every year, and sports clubs operate effectively in both quantity and quality.

Over the years, athletes from the commune have won numerous medals at prestigious city, national, and international competitions. Athlete Duong Ngoc Anh Thai won a gold medal at the 2024 Asian Kickboxing Championship and the 2024-2025 National Kickboxing Championship; athlete Hoang Gia Dai won a gold medal at the 2024-2025 National Kickboxing Championship; athlete Phan Van Tai won a gold medal at the 2024-2025 National Muay Thai Championship; athlete Nguyen Thi Huong won a gold medal at the 2024-2025 National Muay Thai Championship…

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Hat Mon commune emphasized that the Sports Festival is a practical activity to further promote the mass sports movement, encouraging more people and families to practice sports. This is a condition for maintaining traditional sports while promoting the development of new sports, and arousing pride in each citizen of the commune for their land rich in revolutionary traditions, culture, and history.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Hat Mon commune requested that the referees and athletes strictly adhere to the rules and regulations of the Organizing Committee, maintain discipline in competition, and strive for high achievements in the Games. He also urged the promotion of the "All people practice physical training following the example of the great President Ho Chi Minh" movement, linked with the "All people unite to build a cultured life" movement, bringing the physical education and sports movement of each unit, each agency, and the commune to a new level.
