Tam Giang commune exploited 5,620 tons of squid, reaching a value of 217.6 billion VND.

As of early May 2024, the entire commune's fishing fleet had a total output of 5,620 tons of seafood (mainly dried squid), with a total value of about 217.64 billion VND.

This year, Tam Giang commune has 44 boats with a total engine capacity of 42,500 horsepower (including 30 offshore squid fishing boats, 3 purse seine boats, 1 dragon net boat, and 10 drag net boats).

Many boats of the commune have high squid fishing yield (from 55 to 60 tons/boat) such as Mr. Luong Toi's boat, Hoang Trieu Vy's boat, Luong Van Cam's boat...

Tam Giang commune's marine industry currently provides jobs for 1,700 workers, of which squid fishing workers account for 1,550 people, an average of 47 workers/ship.

Currently, the Tam Giang commune fleet continues to leave port, sticking to the sea and fishing grounds to exploit seafood. The whole commune strives to exploit 11,950 tons of seafood, mainly squid, in 2024.
