Tra Tap commune completed resettlement for 59 households affected by natural disasters.
DNO - On the morning of August 29, Tra Tap Commune People's Committee held a conference to review natural disaster prevention, search and rescue work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025.

In 2024, Tra Tap and old Tra Cang communes (now Tra Tap commune, Da Nang city) suffered many storms and tornadoes, causing landslides and heavy losses to houses, schools, traffic and agricultural production. Total estimated damage was nearly 1.5 billion VND.
Notably, the commune relocated 33 households in Tak Chay village and 26 households in Lang Luong village due to landslides. Many schools were damaged, including Rang Chuoi school, which had just been put into use, which collapsed, causing a loss of 700 million VND.
The inter-village and inter-commune transportation system is often cut off due to landslides, hindering rescue work. Nearly 100 households were affected by housing damage, estimated at over 700 million VND. Many areas of Ngoc Linh ginseng and crops were also severely damaged.
Despite many difficulties, the Party Committee, the government, the armed forces, the youth volunteers and businesses have promptly supported people to overcome the consequences, effectively implementing the "four on-site" motto, especially in evacuation, rescue and ensuring social security.
Up to now, Tra Tap commune has completed resettlement arrangements for 59 households in Lang Luong and Tak Chay villages. At the same time, the construction of a new Rang Chuoi school is also underway, ensuring the safety of students.
At the conference, delegates approved the decision to establish the Tra Tap Commune Civil Defense Command, the disaster response plan according to risk levels in 2025, and the search and rescue and civil defense plan in 2025.
