The incident occurred at approximately 12 PM on November 15th in the lobby of the Emergency Department at Nghe An Friendship General Hospital.
At that time, the ambulance was transporting a patient to the Emergency Department of this hospital for treatment. However, while the vehicle was parked in the Emergency Department lobby, it suddenly caught fire.

Immediately, the team of doctors, staff, security guards, and citizens promptly assisted in safely removing the patient from the ambulance. At the same time, the fire emanating from the ambulance intensified.
The Fire and Rescue Police Force of Nghe An province deployed numerous fire trucks to extinguish the fire.

After several minutes of firefighting, the flames were brought under control. At the scene, the ambulance was completely burned, and part of the roof of the Emergency Department lobby was damaged.

"We are taking the patient to the emergency room and cannot provide any further information at this time," a doctor at Nghe An Friendship General Hospital told a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper .
