(BGĐT) - Implementing the plan of the Director of the Bac Giang Provincial Police, the traffic police force of Viet Yen district, reinforced to perform duties in Luc Nam district, has promptly approached the area, improving the effectiveness of handling violations of road traffic safety regulations.
The specialized patrol team, in coordination with the district police, reinforced its forces and proactively applied many new methods to ensure safety during the process of stopping and inspecting vehicles.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguy Huu Hung, Head of the Traffic and Order Police Team (Luc Nam District Police), in the past two months, the number of drunk driving violations has decreased significantly due to "strong propaganda, strict handling, and heavy fines," but many people are still complacent and underestimate the risks.
After 10 days of implementing the plan of the Provincial Police Director, the Luc Nam District Police have handled 119 cases of traffic safety violations, including speeding, drunk driving, and overloading.
In recent days, the task force has repeatedly detected and handled numerous cases of serious violations. These include many drivers transporting family members in their cars after a drinking session.
Notably, at 9:45 PM on May 27th, two brothers, Nguyen Van Q and Nguyen Van Qg, residing in Doi Ngo town (Luc Nam district), along with two other friends, after consuming alcohol, were traveling together in a car with license plate 98A.593.ZZ driven by Nguyen Van Qg to return home.
When traffic police officers from Luc Nam District Police checked the vehicle, the driver was found to have violated the highest penalty level for alcohol concentration (0.454 mg/liter of breath). While Nguyen Van Q was being questioned by the traffic police, Nguyen Van Qg physically assaulted the officers. The district police immediately subdued Nguyen Van Qg and took him to the station to clarify his violation.
The District Police Investigation Agency is currently continuing to verify and clarify the matter in order to handle it according to regulations.
During the evening shift on May 29th, traffic police issued citations to 3 drivers. Among them, the driver of car 98A-109.XX, after nearly an hour of evasive explanations and phone calls, finally cooperated with traffic police to have his blood alcohol level measured at 0.434 mg/1 liter of breath.

Recently, the task force for handling overloaded vehicles discovered and issued citations to four 30-ton HOWO trucks transporting soil from Huong Son commune to Tan Hung commune (Lang Giang district), passing through the intersection of Bao Son commune (Luc Nam district). Despite not having modified the truck bed or having tarpaulins to ensure environmental hygiene, each vehicle was found to be overloaded with soil by over 1 ton to nearly 4 tons.
During the peak period, the task force continued to inspect routes and exchange information with relevant units to coordinate thorough handling and prevention of violations right from the point of origin, ensuring no recurrence.
Through the traffic surveillance camera system, over the past 10 days, the Luc Nam District Police have detected and sent notifications to 114 vehicle owners and drivers who violated traffic regulations, in order to carry out the "cold" penalty process.
The Luc Nam District Police Department urges the public to continue strictly complying with traffic safety regulations, ensuring safety for themselves and others. The unit has publicly announced a hotline number (02403.884.205) for the public to provide feedback and report issues related to public order and traffic safety.
On May 1st, the third day of the holiday, 24 traffic accidents occurred nationwide, resulting in 10 deaths and 19 injuries. This represents a decrease of 2 accidents, one death, and 7 injuries compared to the same holiday period in 2022. All of these accidents occurred on roads; there were no traffic accidents on railways or waterways.
