Touched by the special gift of 'chicken flower' for teacher from highland students

Accordingly, this morning, November 20, Nguyen Dong Bin (class 4/3, Kim Dong Primary School in village 1, Tra Mai commune, Nam Tra My district) came to school with a bright smile.

In the hand of the Ca Dong student is a "flower". But this "flower" is very special, because it is called a "flower" but has no petals but instead is a hen.

This chicken was raised by Nguyen Dong Bin to give to his homeroom teacher, Nguyen Phuc Tinh, on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20.

As soon as he entered the classroom, as usual, the entire class of 4/3 stood up to greet the teacher. Then, many students took out wild flowers of various colors from their desks and rushed up to give them to Mr. Tinh with very simple and lovely wishes.

Shyly taking out a "bouquet of flowers" from his desk drawer, student Nguyen Dong Bin's "bouquet of flowers" made the whole class laugh.

Holding the "chicken bouquet" in his hand, the shy student walked step by step up to the podium and handed it to the teacher with the wish: "I wish you good health. I hope this hen will help you nourish yourself so that you will have a lot of health to continue teaching us."

Receiving the sincere and simple affection of the Ca Dong student, teacher Nguyen Phuc Tinh was moved but could not hide his joy.

Teacher Nguyen Phuc Tinh said that most of the students in the class are children of the Ca Dong ethnic group. Their lives are still difficult, but in return, they are very obedient and emotional.

During many years of working in education in a mountainous commune, the gift that Mr. Tinh most desires is the maturity of his students.

"Having been with students in the highlands for a long time, I always consider them as my own children. The greatest gift I hope to receive is that they can always go to school, study well to leave the mountains to find knowledge, and later contribute to changing their village," Mr. Tinh confided.

According to Mr. Tinh, today is Vietnamese Teachers' Day, he received many congratulations from parents and students. However, what made him happiest were the simple but extremely cute wishes and meaningful gifts imbued with the spirit of the mountains and forests from the students he was in charge of.

"The gift that surprised and made me happiest was the 'chicken flower' from a student. This flower did not have any petals but instead was a hen. The unique gifts from the students will be a great motivation for us to continue to sow knowledge in these difficult places," Mr. Tinh confided.

In response to the students' affection, Mr. Tinh also spent his own money to buy candy and organize a happy, cozy party to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20.
