With the characteristics of a border district, the majority of students are ethnic minorities, Buon Don has applied many flexible learning methods to review knowledge for students before the high school graduation exam.
Mr. Tran Vinh Trung, Vice Principal of Buon Don High School, said that in this final stage, besides consolidating knowledge, the teachers' enthusiasm is an important motivation for students to reduce stress and become more confident.
“Currently, the school is still continuing to review for students until June 22. After two mock exams, the school has screened some students with weak academic performance for tutoring, 1 teacher will tutor 1 to 2 students. The training will help students have enough knowledge and confidence to enter the upcoming exam,” said Mr. Tran Vinh Trung.
In the 2024 high school graduation exam, the border district of Buon Don has 1 exam site, 569 candidates registered to take the exam. With the motto "no candidate has to drop out of the exam due to difficult circumstances", theeducation sector has made a list of students with difficult circumstances and candidates who live far from the exam site, with inconvenient travel conditions, to have support measures.
Mr. Duong Hung Phong, Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Buon Don District, Dak Lak Province, said: “According to statistics, there are 60 candidates who need support in terms of accommodation and transportation. The Steering Committee has a plan to coordinate with the Buon Don District Youth Union to develop a support program for the exam season as well as other departments and organizations. In this case, the students will stay at the district's Ethnic Boarding School. We have also proposed to the District People's Committee to support the students with funding.”
