On October 1, the Minister of Agriculture and Environment issued Document No. 7364/CD-BNNMT to the Director of Tuyen Quang Hydropower Company regarding the closure of the bottom discharge gate of Tuyen Quang Hydropower reservoir.

Accordingly, at 7:00 a.m. on October 1, the upstream water level of Tuyen Quang Lake was at 119.77 m, downstream water level was 63.12 m, flow to the lake was 4,619 m3/s, total flow to the downstream was 5,689 m3/s.

Implementing the Inter-reservoir Operation Procedure on the Red River Basin in Decision No. 740/QD-TTg dated June 17, 2019 of the Prime Minister, Decision No. 922/QD-TTg dated May 14, 2025 of the Prime Minister amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Inter-reservoir Operation Procedure on the Red River Basin, the Minister of Agriculture and Environment ordered the Director of Tuyen Quang Hydropower Company to close 1 bottom spillway gate of Tuyen Quang hydropower reservoir at 11:00 a.m. on October 1.

Tuyen Quang Hydropower Company closely monitors the development of floods, construction safety, flow to the reservoir, upstream and downstream water levels of the reservoir, and promptly reports to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (through the Department of Dyke Management and Disaster Prevention and Control) and relevant agencies as prescribed.
