This evening, July 17, the University of Natural Sciences (Ho Chi Minh City National University) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade announced the threshold to ensure input quality (floor score) for full-time university admission in 2024 by considering the 2024 high school graduation exam scores.

These are the first two universities in Ho Chi Minh City to announce the minimum admission scores based on high school graduation exam results.

Floor score of University of Natural Sciences: 16 - 24 points

The University of Science (Ho Chi Minh City National University) has just announced the admission scores (floor scores) for full-time university majors in 2024 based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam (method 3 - phase 1).

Accordingly, the minimum admission scores for the university's majors range from 16 to 24 points (depending on the major), applied uniformly to all admission combinations for each major. Among them, the majors with the highest minimum admission score (24 points) include: Data Science, Computer Science and Information Technology, Information Technology (English-enhanced program), Computer Science (Advanced program), and Artificial Intelligence.

Floor score of University of Science (Ho Chi Minh City National University)

The school notes that candidates must meet the following conditions: the total score of the subjects/tests in the subject combination used for university admission (including priority points, if any) must reach the minimum score required for registration corresponding to the major/group of majors; and no subject or component in the subject combination has a score of 1.0 or lower.

For majors/groups of majors that include English in their admission subject combination: only the results of the English exam from the 2024 high school graduation exam will be used; results exempted from the English exam will not be accepted.

Floor score of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade: 16 - 20 points

The Admissions Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade has just announced the minimum admission score for full-time undergraduate programs in 2024 by considering the 2024 high school graduation exam scores.

In this method, the school is admitting students to 34 majors with a minimum admission score ranging from 16 to 20 points. The minimum score is the lowest score (without weighting) for high school students in Region 3 for each combination of three subjects/exams corresponding to each major; regional and preferential treatment points are calculated according to the current admission regulations.
