The activities aim to practically celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security Force (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025) and the 79th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Security Force (July 12, 1946 - July 12, 2025).
The photo contest "Image of the brave, humane, serving-the-people Capital Police officer" is a meaningful opportunity to honor and spread realistic and vivid images of the work of protecting security and order, the silent but courageous contributions of the Capital Police force in the cause of maintaining the peaceful life of the people.
After more than 3 months of launching, the contest has received positive responses from many authors across the country with more than 1,300 entries from 105 authors. Of which, there are 728 single photos and 75 photo sets. The Organizing Committee has selected 122 works of high artistic quality to display in exhibitions and print photo books, of which 28 of the best works have been nominated for awards. Specifically: 1 Special Prize, 2 First Prizes, 4 Second Prizes, 6 Third Prizes and 15 Encouragement Prizes.
Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Quyen, Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police, said that the entries deeply depicted the image of the Capital Police officers in their work, combat and daily life - both artistic and realistic and touching.
The Deputy Director of the City Police Department hopes that the Capital Police force will continue to receive companionship and support to continuously grow and fulfill its mission of protecting security and order in the new era, the era of strong and prosperous development of the nation.
Immediately after the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the photo contest, delegates cut the ribbon to open the mobile exhibition "80 years of the Capital Police - The heroic epic that echoes forever".
The photo exhibition is displayed according to 4 themes: "80 years of heroic history of the Capital Police Force"; "Beautiful images in the hearts of the people" with the achievements and beautiful images of the Capital Police Force serving the people; "National Security Protection Day" with images of the role of the people in protecting the security of the Fatherland; works participating in the photo contest.
The photo exhibition will be held at the headquarters of the Investigation Police Department - City Police (No. 2 Trang Thi Street, Hoan Kiem Ward) from July 12 to July 20; the monument area "People's Police serving the people" (Tran Nhan Tong Street, Hai Ba Trung Ward) from July 21 to July 28; the area of Ho Guom Theater (No. 40 Hang Bai Street, Cua Nam Ward) from July 29 to July 30; the area of the headquarters of the City Police (No. 87 Tran Hung Dao Street, Cua Nam Ward) from July 31 to August 18 and the area of the City Police Museum (No. 67 Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Cua Nam Ward) from August 19 to September 2.
