According to the Organizing Committee of the Award, by the end of November 15, 2025 - the deadline for receiving entries - the Organizing Committee had received 1,866 valid entries of various genres from central and local press agencies and non-professional authors. Of which: print and electronic newspapers had about 1,300 entries; radio and television had about 566 entries. Many press agencies had a relatively large number of entries such as newspapers: Vietnam Television - VTV, Voice of Vietnam - VOV, Vietnam News Agency , Nhan Dan, Lao Dong, Phap Luat Vietnam, Tien Phong, Dan Tri, Thanh Nien, Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television, Vinh Long Provincial Newspaper and Television, Nghe An Newspaper and Television, Lao Cai Newspaper and Television, Ca Mau Newspaper and Television...
After the selection process, the Preliminary Board selected 60 best works for the final round. Next, the Final Board independently judged, then met and selected 34 best works to award 2 A prizes, 4 B prizes, 6 C prizes, 10 Encouragement prizes and 12 Special prizes. Each A prize will receive a prize of up to 50 million VND.
The Organizing Committee's assessment shows that most of the entries have deeply reflected the transition from traditional agricultural production to a multi-value economic model, green agriculture, and a typical circular economy. There have been many excellent entries focusing on writing and reflecting on the model of a new, civilized, modern farmer, portraits of outstanding, inspirational Vietnamese farmers. There are also a series of articles expressing the concerns of journalists about the conflicting issues arising in the new context of the current agricultural sector.
Besides those bright spots, journalists also show their dedication, not afraid of hardships and dangers to carry out exclusive "heavyweight" investigative series, determined to shed light on the hidden corners and "dark sides" that exist in the fields of agriculture, farmers, and rural areas.

Journalist Nguyen Van Hoai, Editor-in-Chief of Nong Thon Ngay Nay/Dan Viet Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of the National Press Award on Agriculture, Farmers, and Rural Areas of Vietnam, affirmed: “This is the third consecutive year we have organized the award and received the response of hundreds of press agencies sending entries, which proves that agriculture is always a fertile land for reporters, journalists, and press agencies to exploit.
In particular, through the works submitted to participate, the image of a very new, very modern farmer with many billionaire farmers and innovative farmers has been painted. With the theme of the countryside, through the works participating in the competition, it can be seen that the picture of the countryside is changing strongly, from building new rural areas to advanced, exemplary new rural areas and there are more and more livable villages appearing.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, Journalist Nguyen Van Hoai also sent his thanks to the press agencies, authors, and groups of authors who enthusiastically submitted articles and works to the contest.
“We also want to award more prizes, but according to the rules, the number and structure of the prizes are limited, so it is a pity that there are many quality works but they did not win the prize this time. Taking into account the opinions of the jury members, in the next season, we will continue to research and innovate the rules and structure of the prizes to be able to award more prizes,” journalist Nguyen Van Hoai shared.
