The conference was held to evaluate the results after more than a year of launching and to honor outstanding groups and individuals who contributed to this special social security project.
After 1 year, 4 months and 13 days since the launch and 10 months and 21 days of the "450 days and nights" peak - determined to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses before October 31, 334,234 temporary, dilapidated and unsafe houses have been replaced with solid houses.
The emulation movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses not only created a turning point in poverty reduction but also lit up a great human value, which is the spirit of great national solidarity, the sharing of "the rich help the poor" so that no poor family is left behind. This is a special national project - a project of the Party's will and the people's heart, where political determination meets people's aspirations, where new roofs have demonstrated a humane, fair and sustainably developed society.
In that big picture of national stature, the banking industry affirms itself as one of the shock forces, contributing significantly to the overall success of the program "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses".
Not only taking on the responsibility of stabilizing the macro economy , controlling inflation, and regulating capital flows for production and business, the banking sector also strongly promotes the spirit of social responsibility. More than VND 1,800 billion has been mobilized in just over a year from the banking system, demonstrating practical and timely support for the goal of sustainable social security so that "no one is left behind".
Among them, Agribank - the largest state-owned commercial bank, closely associated with agriculture, farmers, and rural areas - has demonstrated its pioneering role through concrete actions, spanning from mountainous areas, plains to remote islands. From 2024 to June 30, 2025, Agribank has supported the program of building houses of gratitude, houses for the poor, solidarity houses, and eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses with a total budget of 422 billion VND.
Of which, the support for the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households under the program launched by the Prime Minister is 254 billion VND; in addition, staff in the entire system supported 1 day's salary to build 1,000 houses under the program of the Vietnam Bank Trade Union with the amount of 12.8 billion VND. The total support for these two programs is 267 billion VND.

Mr. Do Duc Thanh, Deputy General Director of Agribank (sixth from right), received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for the collective with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses".
In 2024, at the launching ceremony of the program “Warm home for my people” in Hanoi, Agribank contributed 100 billion VND. Next, the bank sponsored 20 billion VND in Hoa Binh and tens of billions of VND for provinces and cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Long An, Quang Nam, etc.
In 2025, Agribank will continue to implement many support campaigns, typically 25 billion VND for the Southwest region, 15 billion VND for Thanh Hoa, 2 billion VND for Tuyen Quang, 5 billion VND for Lam Dong... helping thousands of poor and near-poor households have solid houses to settle down and make a living.
On May 17, all Agribank staff and employees voluntarily contributed one day's salary, raising 12.8 billion VND. This collective action not only has material value but also demonstrates the humane culture of a "Bank for the community" that has permeated each employee. The numbers are not simply financial statistics, but are the bricks that build thousands of houses of love and solidarity, creating a foundation for people across the country to live in.

The fact that Agribank received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister at the Conference summarizing the program and emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" shows the recognition of Agribank's humane identity and sense of social responsibility.
Each newly built house bearing the mark of Agribank is the embodiment of the philosophy of sustainable development with the community at the center and people as the highest goal.
Solid homes not only help people stabilize their lives but also add faith and hope for a future of escaping poverty and rising up to become rich legitimately. This companionship is Agribank's way of concretizing the spirit of "leaving no one behind", at the same time contributing to strengthening people's trust in the policies of the Party and State, and is Agribank's practical contribution to the journey of building a prosperous and happy Vietnam, for a developed and sustainable community.
