(Dan Tri Newspaper) - With her "hanging" bread model in Da Nang , Ms. Thao has been donating free loaves of bread to the needy. Although simple, it has helped many people have a fulfilling breakfast.

With the desire to share free meals with those in need, Ms. Vo Thi Thanh Thao (30 years old), owner of a vegetarian sandwich stall on Tran Tong Street, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City, together with a customer, came up with the idea and implemented the "hanging" sandwich model from the end of October 2024 until now.

In front of the bread cart, a small sign is hung indicating the number of loaves given away and how many are left for the day. This allows many people to know and come to receive free loaves of bread from the "hanging" cart. Ms. Thao is very pleased with this model and wants to spread it more widely.

Ms. Thao said that when she created this free hanging bread model, she only hoped to help many people in difficult circumstances so that they could have a more complete meal.

Initially, few people knew about the "hanging" bread model, partly because the shop only sold vegetarian bread, so the number of people who came to receive it on weekdays was limited.

But gradually, more and more people came to Thao's bread cart, and even the "on hold" orders for vegetarian sandwiches were regularly received, even on weekdays.

Since then, the number of "hanging" loaves of bread has increased daily, thanks to customers who contributed money or bought more bread and "hung" it up in the shop to give to others.

Many people also helped share the information on social media or spread the word to encourage more people to come and support the initiative. The bread cart opens at 6 am every day. To date, Ms. Thao has prepared over 300 loaves of bread and gives away about 30 loaves each day.

Ms. Phuong Lan, residing in Son Tra district, said that as a sanitation worker, her income is only enough to cover living expenses. Therefore, when she heard about the free "hanging" bread cart, she sought it out to eat. Thanks to these small loaves of bread, Ms. Lan saves on some expenses and can satisfy her hunger.
