Implementing the central government's policy and the Ministry of Public Security's plan to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses and support the construction of housing for people with meritorious services to the revolution, households affected by natural disasters, poor households, near-poor households, and ethnic minorities, the Ministry of Public Security has mobilized resources and supported the construction and repair of more than 17,200 houses nationwide over the years with a total cost of over 731 billion VND.

In Quang Tri province, with funding from the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial Police Department, in coordination with local authorities, units, and relevant organizations, has implemented the construction of 200 houses for the poor and those facing housing difficulties, including 150 houses in Dakrong district and 50 houses in Huong Hoa district.

Each new house costs 90 million VND to build, with 40 million VND/house supported by the central government and 50 million VND/house supported by the Ministry of Public Security. The houses are built according to the Ministry of Public Security's 36B prefabricated house model, meeting the standards of "3 solid" (solid foundation, solid frame/walls, solid roof) and "2 stable" (stable land, stable living environment).

This house design has been modified to be fundamentally suitable for the geographical conditions, weather, customs, and living habits of ethnic minority communities, while also ensuring effective use for over 10 years.

After two months of implementation, all 200 houses have been completed and put into use, contributing to helping people in Dakrong and Huong Hoa districts stabilize their lives.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, highly appreciated the attention and decisive direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and the spirit of serving the people of the officers and soldiers of the Quang Tri Provincial Police and related units in supporting the construction of houses for poor households, near-poor households, and families with difficult circumstances.

At the same time, we hope that the households receiving houses on this occasion will soon stabilize their lives and actively participate in the nationwide movement to protect national security, ensure security and order at the grassroots level, and work together to build an increasingly prosperous, beautiful, and civilized homeland.

On this occasion, Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, along with provincial leaders, presented 200 gifts from the Ministry of Public Security to 200 disadvantaged households in Huong Hoa and Dakrong districts.
