This morning, August 6, the Provincial People's Council's Culture and Social Affairs Committee conducted a survey at the Quang Tri Employment Service Center on the implementation of tasks in the first 7 months of the year and tasks for the remaining months of 2024 (on organizational structure, staffing, facilities, operating costs, implementation of assigned targets and tasks); difficulties, obstacles, recommendations and proposals.

Quang Tri Employment Service Center is responsible for providing labor market information, consulting, supplying and introducing jobs in the province, domestically and internationally, organizing vocational skills training, job search skills and other work skills, implementing unemployment insurance policies according to regulations. The number of employees and contracts assigned in 2024 is 39 people; the number of employees and labor contracts present as of July 31, 2024 is 27 people.
The center has 3 facilities in Dong Ha city, Huong Hoa district and Quang Tri town. In the first 7 months of 2024, the center collected, processed and provided labor market information and information related to the Party's policies, policies and laws of the State, relevant ministries and branches on employment and vocational training, unemployment insurance for 24,550 people and organizations, units; organized counseling on employment, vocational training and policies related to labor and employment for 17,625 people.
Number of workers supplied and introduced to jobs domestically: 1,616 people; number of workers going abroad to work: 301 people. Organized 25 job fairs; 130 units and enterprises registered to participate in direct recruitment at job fairs, about 1,650 workers participated in activities at the job fair, of which 571 workers found jobs in the province and in the country.
Organized recruitment, vocational training introduction, and foreign language training for 409 people. By July 30, 2024, the center received unemployment insurance applications for 3,012 workers, of which 2,220 applications were received on the National Public Service Portal; processed applications, advised the leaders of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to issue decisions for 2,733 workers to receive unemployment benefits with a subsidy amount of about 49.1 billion VND; organized job counseling and introduction for 9,788 workers, of which 140 workers found jobs. Provided vocational training consultation and introduction support for 95 workers receiving unemployment benefits.

Quang Tri Employment Service Center requests the Provincial People's Council's Culture and Social Affairs Committee to pay attention to and request the Provincial People's Council to approve and soon issue a resolution on the list of public career services using the state budget in the field of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs in the province in the upcoming Provincial People's Council session so that the center has a basis to advise on the next steps, striving to complete the construction of economic and technical norms in 2024 to organize implementation from January 1, 2025.
During the time when the competent authority has not yet issued a list of public career services, approved economic-technical norms applicable in the field of employment, it is recommended that the Provincial People's Council's Committee for Culture and Society and the Department of Finance consider and submit to the competent authority for priority and allocation of funding for the center to carry out tasks related to labor market information, consulting, job introduction, connecting labor supply and demand in the province...
At the meeting, members of the Provincial People's Council's Culture and Social Affairs Committee informed and discussed further recommendations from the Quang Tri Employment Service Center. They requested the center to continue to pay attention and create better conditions for workers to find jobs that match their abilities and strengths, with stable income; organize more job fairs in remote areas to create favorable conditions for ethnic minorities to have the opportunity to find good jobs...
For other recommendations and proposals, the Provincial People's Council's Culture and Social Committee will record and synthesize them for submission to the Provincial People's Council and competent authorities for consideration and resolution.
