Press contributes to promoting tourism development in Ho Chi Minh City

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Duong Vu Thong, Permanent Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association, said: "The articles by journalists, reporters, editors, and collaborators have built the image of the city as a "Safe - Lively - Open - Youthful - Exciting" destination. This is also a strong motivation, contributing to actively encouraging all tourism businesses to participate in economic development and building the city's tourism image."

After 60 days of launching, the Organizing Committee received 145 entries from 56 journalists, reporters, editors, and collaborators with a total of 228 news, articles, and reports from 34 press agencies.

The award structure includes 24 awards for 3 types of journalism: radio and television; print and electronic newspapers; and press photos.

For the radio and television category, the first prize went to a group of reporters from Vietnam Television Center in Ho Chi Minh City - VTV9 with the work "Removing barriers in tourism development". The second prize went to Ho Chi Minh City Television Station with the work: "Linking tourism development in Ho Chi Minh City: Need for models".

First prize in the print and electronic newspaper category went to reporter Hong Phuc, Dan Viet Newspaper in Ho Chi Minh City, with the article "Awakening the "gold mine" of tourism in Ho Chi Minh City".

First Prize in the Press Photo category went to reporter Hoang Trieu, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, with the work: "The Saigon River's appearance is sparkling like never before at the River Festival".
