Accordingly, to ensure the health of candidates and their families, exam supervisors and organizing committees, and to ensure food safety, environmental hygiene, and disease prevention, the Ministry of Health requests hospitals and provincial/city Departments of Health to continue implementing the directives on ensuring medical services for the 2024 high school graduation exam and university/vocational education entrance exam.

Specifically, facilities prioritize ensuring medical emergency services, disaster relief, preparing hospital beds, medicines, equipment, and personnel to receive and treat patients, ensuring environmental hygiene, preventing summer diseases, protecting against heatwaves, and ensuring food safety.
Units and institutions will coordinate with the Department of Education and Training to inspect and supervise the provision of medical services for the 2024 high school graduation exam and university and vocational education entrance exams.
Previously, the Ministry of Health requested the Departments of Health in provinces and cities to proactively implement disease prevention and control measures during the 2024 high school graduation exam and university and vocational education entrance exams in the exam areas and throughout the province/city; to establish mobile epidemic control teams and be ready to deploy response measures when outbreaks occur.
The Ministry of Health requires hospitals to prepare 5-10 beds and ensure an adequate supply of essential medicines and equipment to receive and provide emergency care to patients.
In relation to this matter, the Hanoi Department of Health has also issued a detailed plan on ensuring medical services for the national high school graduation exam in Hanoi (from June 26th to June 29th).
The Hanoi Department of Health requires all units to ensure environmental hygiene, implement disease prevention and control measures; ensure water quality and food safety; strengthen medical examination and treatment at all levels, and allocate sufficient personnel, vehicles, medicines, and equipment for first aid, examination and treatment to serve the people, candidates and their families.
On the other hand, units and localities are preparing mobile emergency response teams to provide emergency assistance in situations of disaster, mass poisoning, etc., to serve candidates, their families, and other forces participating in the exam.
The Department of Health has assigned the Hanoi Center for Disease Control and Prevention to coordinate with relevant units to strengthen environmental hygiene inspections and disease prevention in general at examination and testing locations, ensuring the hygiene and quality of drinking water from water treatment plants and water supply stations in the city.
The Ho Chi Minh City Food Safety and Hygiene Department, in coordination with other units, is strengthening inspections and monitoring of food safety at food service establishments, especially those surrounding exam venues. Inspections are being conducted in conjunction with proactive sample testing to assess food safety risks; focusing on street food vendors, food service businesses, and beverage production and sales establishments around exam locations.
