At 8:00 a.m. on July 16, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the 2025 high school graduation exam scores. Also from this time until 5:00 p.m. on July 28, candidates will register, adjust, and add university admission wishes, an unlimited number of times.
After the high school graduation exam results are available, universities will begin to announce the threshold to ensure the quality of their entrance exams (the floor score). For the education and health sciences majors, the floor score will be announced before 5:00 p.m. on July 23.
Candidates pay the admission fee online from July 29 to 5:00 p.m. on August 5. After that, the Ministry and universities will process the admission application (virtual filtering) from August 16 to 5:00 p.m. on August 20.
After receiving the benchmark scores, successful candidates must confirm their enrollment on the system, no later than 5:30 p.m. on August 30.
The Ministry requires schools not to organize admissions before August 22. Additional admissions will start from September 1 until the end of the year.
Last year, the minimum admission score based on the high school graduation exam results of universities nationwide ranged from 14 to 24.5 points, the highest in the fields of Pedagogy, Medicine, and Dentistry. Of which, Saigon University leads the national minimum score in 2024. The school's Mathematics Pedagogy major considers candidates with scores of 24.5 points or higher.
Many schools consider admission at 24 points or higher for some majors such as Foreign Trade University, University of Natural Sciences - Ho Chi Minh City National University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, Hanoi Medical University... The rest, most schools give a floor score in the range of 15 - 23.
