(CLO) Journalist and Public Opinion Newspaper is in the top 10 central press agencies achieving excellent levels of maturity in digital transformation of journalism in 2024.

On the afternoon of December 16, before the National Press Conference to summarize the work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025, the Ministry of Information and Communications organized the announcement of the results of the assessment of the maturity level of digital transformation of the press in 2024.

According to the results of the 2024 press digital transformation maturity ranking, 9.93% of press agencies achieved excellent results; 23.05% achieved good results; 19.50% achieved fair results; 8.87% achieved average results and 38.65% achieved poor results.

Specifically, there are 28 press agencies of the Central press sector; local press sector; radio and television sector achieving excellent levels of maturity in digital press transformation in 2024.

Of which, the top 10 press agencies of the Central press sector that achieved excellent levels of maturity in digital transformation include Journalists and Public Opinion Newspaper; Labor Newspaper; News Newspaper; People's Representative Newspaper; Thanh Nien Newspaper; Nhan Dan Newspaper; VietnamPlus Electronic Newspaper; VnExpress Newspaper; VietNamNet Newspaper and VTC News Electronic Newspaper.

The local press sector achieved excellent results with 8 press agencies: Khanh Hoa Newspaper; Lao Cai Newspaper; Economic and Urban Newspaper; Hai Duong Newspaper; Tuoi Tre Newspaper; Radio and Television Station; Binh Phuoc Newspaper; Nghe An Newspaper; Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper.

The top 10 excellent Radio and Television stations include Vietnam Television; Nghe An Radio and Television; Voice of Vietnam; Bac Giang Radio and Television; Da Nang Radio and Television; Hanoi Radio and Television; Dak Nong Radio and Television; Hung Yen Radio and Television; Vinh Long Radio and Television; Ba Ria - Vung Tau Radio and Television.

According to the Ministry of Information and Communications, digital transformation of the press aims to build press agencies in a professional, humane, and modern direction; to fulfill the mission of information and propaganda to serve the Party's revolutionary cause and the country's innovation cause.

At the same time, ensure the role of leading and orienting public opinion, maintain information sovereignty in cyberspace; effectively innovate readers' experiences; create new sources of revenue; promote the development of the digital content industry.
