Arrested 2 young men for drug possession and attacking traffic police

On June 21, Thuy Nguyen District Police are detaining Nguyen Van Kieu and Phan Van Khoan (both residing in Thuy Nguyen District) to investigate the acts of: illegal possession and use of drugs; and resisting law enforcement officers.

Evidence seized from Nguyen Van Kieu and Phan Van Khoan, including a wooden stick used to attack traffic police, and drugs hidden on the two suspects' bodies.

On the evening of June 20, the Traffic Police working group of Luu Kiem Traffic Police Station, Hai Phong City Police Traffic Police Department, was patrolling and handling traffic violations on National Highway 10, passing through Dong Son intersection, Kenh Giang commune (Thuy Nguyen district). They discovered Kien and Khoan riding a motorbike without helmets, so they signaled them to stop. Both of them did not obey the order and drove away on their motorbikes. However, because it was dark, the working group did not pursue.

A moment later, the working group received a report of a traffic accident on National Highway 10, passing through Dong Son commune, and immediately arrived at the scene.

While the working group was on duty, Kien and Khoan suddenly appeared, holding wooden sticks and attacking the working group.

With the cooperation of professional units of Thuy Nguyen District Police and local people, two reckless young men were arrested. Searching Kien and Khoan, the police seized a package of synthetic drugs.

At the police station, Kien and Khoan confessed to their crimes and admitted to having just used synthetic drugs.

The case of two young men possessing drugs and using sticks to attack traffic police is being investigated and handled by Thuy Nguyen District Police.
