Taxi driver arrested for selling drugs to drug addicts

Previously, at 2:15 a.m. on November 25, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team of Son Tra District Police coordinated with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Da Nang City Police and the Crime Prevention Department of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command, suddenly surrounded taxi BS 43A - 376.28 that was stopped in front of a house on Ly Thanh Tong Street (An Hai Bac Ward, Son Tra District).

At this time, in the taxi was driver Le Phuoc Quang Vu (22 years old, residing in An Hai Bac Ward, Son Tra District). The joint force controlled Vu and searched the car, discovering inside the car a pack of cigarettes containing 4 packages of Ketamine and 1 package of ecstasy.

At the police station, Vu confessed that he bought the drugs from a person of unknown origin at the foot of the Hue intersection overpass (Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City) for 8 million VND.

Due to the nature of his job, Vu often transported passengers to entertainment venues, so he bought drugs to resell to drug users. Vu had just bought the drugs and had not yet sold them when he was arrested.

Currently, the joint force has handed over Vu to the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team of Son Tra District Police for temporary criminal detention to continue consolidating the file, prosecute the case and the accused according to the law.
