With a passion for acting, Le Phuc Hau studied at the Hong Van Theater (Ho Chi Minh City). During that period, feeling that she was too delicate, Hau decided to dedicate more time to training at director Quoc Thinh's club. This was also the opportunity that led her to become a stunt actress.

"I didn't know martial arts and wasn't an athlete , but initially I was determined to find a place to learn and train to improve my health and physical fitness so I could pursue acting. But after a few months of training, I had the opportunity to experience being a stunt performer. Those filming sessions helped me realize that this was an interesting job, and I became passionate about it without even realizing it," Hau shared.

Recalling his early training days, Phuc Hau admitted it was a huge challenge. Because he wasn't a professional stunt performer and lacked experience, injuries were inevitable. "I suffered from joint pain, muscle strains… to the point where I thought I couldn't even walk. But then I encouraged myself, thinking that if I didn't overcome these challenges, it would be difficult to stay in the profession for the long term. For me, these weren't difficulties, but lessons to make me stronger on my journey as a stunt performer," Hau shared.

After about two months of training, Phuc Hau was given the opportunity by director Quoc Thinh to take on small roles in various projects. This practical experience nurtured her love and passion for the profession. Looking back, she expressed gratitude to her mentor, director Quoc Thinh. Hau recounted: "Newcomers like us were always given opportunities by our teacher to gain practical experience, allowing us to learn and hone our skills to minimize injuries. As we became more proficient, our teacher gave us more advanced stunts to perform."

Phuc Hau doesn't share much about her work with her family. Whenever relatives call to check on her, she usually explains that she uses protective gear when filming difficult scenes, so everyone can rest assured. In reality, the actress has suffered quite a few injuries. For her, scrapes, bruises, and head bumps are commonplace occurrences.

Once, Phuc Hau was wearing an ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress) and acting out a drowning scene in a large river. When she felt exhausted, she tried to get to shore. Unfortunately, the hem of her dress got tangled around her leg, preventing her from swimming, while the crew thought Phuc Hau was just... getting into character. After a while, everyone realized something was wrong and immediately pulled her to shore. "That's a scene I'll never forget," the stuntwoman confided.

To date, Phuc Hau has had the opportunity to participate in many films such as "The Anonymous," "Ut Lan: The Vengeful Spirit," "Making Money with Ghosts," and "A Tourist's Guide to Love "... The female stuntwoman admits that the income from the profession is still unstable; some months she gets many film projects, but other times she doesn't get any. However, what keeps Hau in the job of a stuntwoman is her passion. She believes: "Because it's my profession, I try to overcome difficulties and do my job well. Getting scratches and bumps on my head hurts, but it's my job, so I accept it."

Le Phuc Hau also has many concerns and expectations for the work she pursues. She hopes that the stunt profession will develop further, not only domestically but also internationally. She confided: "When projects develop in terms of action, we will have more opportunities to work and upgrade our skills. From there, the cost of living for us will also improve, and I think more people will respect the work of a stunt performer." (to be continued)
