Enhancing the quality of OCOP products.
Buon Ma Thuot city currently has 32 OCOP products, including 5 products with 4 stars and 26 products with 3 stars.
In particular, Kien Cuong civet coffee has been evaluated and rated 5 stars by the competent authorities.
Kien Cuong civet coffee farm on Hoang Hoa Tham street has become a popular destination for both domestic and international tourists.
Here, hundreds of civets (Paradoxurus hemaphroditus) are raised to produce premium civet coffee.

A farm representative stated, "Civet coffee is produced using enzymes in the civet's digestive system. In the wild, civets' habitats are shrinking, and their numbers are declining sharply. The production of this coffee is linked to the breeding and conservation of the species."
According to the farm owner, the civets retain their ability to select coffee beans, ensuring excellent quality thanks to a breeding environment that closely resembles their natural habitat. The civets are released into gardens under strict supervision and protection.
Coffee is only a supplement, making up a very small portion of the diet, depending on the individual needs. The farm also applies modern processing technologies to improve product quality.
This case is a clear example of the innovation efforts and brand value affirmation of businesses in Buon Ma Thuot.
Simultaneously, city authorities regularly inspect and monitor OCOP-certified products to ensure their quality is maintained.
The government is also actively guiding businesses to boost promotion and trade, contributing to the effective and sustainable consumption of OCOP products.
Paving the way for business growth.
In 2024, Buon Ma Thuot city completed the construction of Buon Kao market in Ea Kao commune and successfully organized an agricultural market fair, introducing OCOP products.
Trade promotion and marketing activities are also organized regularly, creating opportunities for businesses to find agents and trading partners.

Mr. Tran Duc Nhat, Vice Chairman of the Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee, commented: "In recent years, businesses in the area have continuously focused on upgrading and improving the quality of OCOP products. Many units have successfully upgraded their rating, gradually building trust with partners and the people."
According to Mr. Nhat, in the coming time, authorities will focus on digital transformation and training OCOP (One Commune One Product) businesses on online business. This will support bringing products to e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok…
These activities not only support local economic development but also lay the foundation for sustainable agriculture, meeting domestic market demands and aiming for export.
