(NLĐO) - The dredging of the Cai Doi Vam estuary will make it easier for fishermen in Ca Mau to exploit marine resources.
On March 10th, the Department of Construction of Ca Mau province announced that the dredging project at Cai Doi Vam estuary, Phu Tan district, Ca Mau province, is being implemented under a public-private partnership model with a total investment of approximately 30 billion VND, funded and constructed by a company based in Ho Chi Minh City.
The dredging of the Cai Doi Vam estuary has brought joy to the people in general and the fishermen of Ca Mau in particular.
"Under the socialized model, businesses carry out dredging projects combined with product recovery, so the budget doesn't incur investment costs and also collects various taxes and fees related to resources," a source added.
Cai Doi Vam is considered one of the largest estuaries in Ca Mau province. Recently, this estuary has been experiencing siltation, making it difficult for vessels to enter and exit for fishing.
The total volume of dredging planned for the Cai Doi Vam estuary is approximately 400,000 m3 of soil and will be carried out over 10 months. The dredging of the Cai Doi Vam estuary has brought joy to the people, as it will now make it easier for fishing vessels to enter and exit the estuary.
