On July 8, many social networking sites in Phu Yen spread a clip recording a giant whale hunting in the waters of this province. The clip recorded an extremely beautiful image when the whale opened its mouth and took a bite, making netizens extremely excited.

Speaking with Tuoi Tre Online, Mr. Huynh Thanh Binh (47 years old, residing in Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province) confirmed that he filmed the above clip at around 8am the same day while fishing at Cu Lao Mai Nha island located in the sea of ​​Phuoc Dong village.

According to Mr. Binh, this whale is quite large, constantly surfacing and diving to catch prey.

“This whale hunted at sea for about 30 minutes, then went somewhere else. As soon as I saw it, I took out my phone to record this memorable moment. It has been a long time since I saw a whale appear in the waters of Tuy An district,” said Mr. Binh.

Mr. Dao Quang Minh - Head of Phu Yen Fisheries Department - said that it is highly likely that this whale is the one that appeared in Mui Dien sea nearly 4 days ago, because this species of fish has the characteristic of moving widely.

According to Mr. Minh, the appearance of whales in the sea of ​​Phuoc Dong village shows that the marine environment here is very good, and food for this fish species is extremely abundant.

“Recently, dolphins and whales have been continuously appearing in the sea areas of Phu Yen province. This is a good sign. If you encounter whales, people should not approach them, keep a safe distance and absolutely not catch them,” said Mr. Minh.

As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , on July 5, the fishing boat PY 95441 TS of Mr. Huynh Kim Tuong (50 years old, residing in Hoa Hiep Trung ward, Dong Hoa town), with three workers on board, who work in purchasing anchovies, was in the waters of Mui Dien scenic area when they discovered a whale swimming near the boat, so they used their phones to record it.
