According to Business Insider magazine, these are businesses where immigrants are a large part of their workforce.

Many individuals involved in the campaign, including nearly 20 lobbyists who were sources with Business Insider , have used the phrase “Make America Wealthy Again” to attract the attention of President Donald Trump and business-minded allies on his team.

In addition, officials in the Trump administration and Republican lawmakers in the US Congress have received the message that mass deportations will paralyze the economy and push up prices.

“Mr. Trump, as a businessman, understands that if he doesn’t have 200 people mowing the grass on his golf courses, the courses won’t look good and people won’t want to play golf there,” said Cristina Antelo, founder of lobbying firm Ferox Strategies.

Businesses need to speak up before Trump realizes that his administration’s actions could actually “paralyze the entire US labor market,” Antelo said.

“There is one thing that Mr. Trump cares about more than keeping his promise of mass deportation, and that is the economy,” said one experienced lobbyist.

So far, Mr Trump's immigration crackdown has mainly targeted immigrants accused of committing crimes after entering the US.

But the prospect of large-scale raids on farms and factories has many businesses worried because they rely heavily on migrant workers in sectors such as agriculture , meatpacking and construction.

The plan is for lobbyists representing businesses to reach out to allies in Mr. Trump’s inner circle, notably Brooke Rollins, his pick for secretary of agriculture, and Kristi Noem, secretary of homeland security, both longtime business advocates.
