
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Hoang Hiep received the official aid confirmation letter from ADB.
At the headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has just announced an emergency international aid package worth 2 million USD to overcome the consequences of recent natural disasters in central Vietnam.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Hoang Hiep received the ADB Country Director in Vietnam and received the official letter of confirmation of aid from ADB. The aid was disbursed from the Asia -Pacific Disaster Response Fund (APDRF), aiming to help people severely affected by floods in the central region recover their lives.

Donating disaster prevention equipment to 4 secondary schools: Cat Tien, Cat Chanh, Tam Quan Bac and Hoai Hai, Gia Lai province.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Hiep expressed his thanks for ADB's timely attention and support, affirming that this emergency international aid is of great significance, necessary and timely, contributing to helping people in flood-affected areas overcome the consequences and quickly stabilize their lives.
The aid is expected to be used to build and repair houses for households whose houses have collapsed or been severely damaged by natural disasters, in line with the spirit of the lightning-fast "Quang Trung Campaign" launched by the Vietnamese Government.
In the coming time, the necessary procedures to approve the aid will be signed between relevant agencies and Vietnam and ADB, the time to implement the aid is 6 months from the date of signing.

Receive emergency aid from the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management.
In addition, as of December 2, 2025, embassies and international organizations have provided and committed to providing aid to localities affected by storms No. 10, 11, 12, 13 and post-storm floods, with a total budget of about 19,510 million USD.
In particular, through the coordination of the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Government of Australia, the Government of the Russian Federation, the Government of Singapore, the European Union (EU), the Government of Korea, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the AHA Center, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Save the Children, ActionAid International in Vietnam, Samaritan's Purse, Tzu Chi (Taiwan, China), CRS in Vietnam, WWF in Vietnam, Plan International in Vietnam, providing emergency international aid including: cash, support for agricultural livelihood recovery, bottled drinking water, water filtration equipment, blankets, water tanks, multi-purpose plastic sheets, personal hygiene kits, household kits, home repairs, kitchen kits, school supplies, etc. for affected people in Lao Cai province, Son La, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Hanoi city, Ninh Binh.
