Renovation and upgrading of the embankment and slope system of Xuan Huong Lake

On October 27, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee said it had issued a document directing relevant departments, branches and sectors to coordinate in assessing, planning and implementing solutions to overcome, maintain and repair the embankment system around Xuan Huong Lake.

The embankment system was built in 1998 and repaired and reinforced in 2010. It is now degraded and damaged in many places.

This decision was made after the Department of Agriculture and Environment coordinated with relevant units to conduct a field survey and assess the current status of the embankment and slope works in the Xuan Huong Lake area.

This project also plays an extremely important role in flood reduction, climate regulation, and creating tourist landscapes.
