Nha Trang – Van Phong Expressway expected to finish ahead of schedule

The Nha Trang – Van Phong expressway is expected to be completed ahead of schedule. Meanwhile, many sections of the Chi Thanh – Van Phong, Quy Nhon – Chi Thanh, Hoai Nhon – Quy Nhon, and Quang Ngai – Hoai Nhon expressways are ahead of schedule.

According to the Emulation Cluster of the Central Highlands and Central Coastal provinces, in the first six months of 2024, projects under national key projects in the provinces within the Emulation Cluster have coordinated the implementation of the Cam Lam – Nha Trang expressway, which has begun toll collection; the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway has been inaugurated; the Nha Trang – Van Phong expressway is expected to be completed ahead of schedule; many items on the Chi Thanh – Van Phong, Quy Nhon – Chi Thanh, Hoai Nhon – Quy Nhon, and Quang Ngai – Hoai Nhon expressways are ahead of schedule; and the Tan Phu – Bao Loc expressway is determined to commence construction in December 2024.

Specifically, the project to upgrade National Highway 19, aimed at enhancing transportation connectivity in the Central Highlands region, has implemented numerous solutions to overcome difficulties in organizing construction.

Currently, localities in the Central Highlands and Central Coastal provinces' emulation cluster are continuing to vigorously implement tasks and solutions to strongly develop coastal urban systems, boost investment in socio-economic infrastructure in the region, especially important transportation infrastructure and unique tourism.

In particular, the Party committees and governments of the provinces have also decisively directed the disbursement of public investment capital, focusing on removing difficulties and obstacles to accelerate the progress of key projects, especially transportation infrastructure projects, inter-regional and coastal expressways (Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway, Dau Giay - Lien Khuong expressway, Ho Chi Minh Highway project, eastern bypass section of Buon Ma Thuot city, Truong Son East road project, North - South expressway eastern section and Van Phong - Nha Trang section, Da Nang - Thanh My - Ngoc Hoi - Bo Y expressway...).

In the first six months of 2024, the implementation of key projects in the provinces showed many positive changes and was basically carried out according to the plan.

The emulation cluster of the Central Highlands and Central Coastal provinces comprises 10 provinces (Lam Dong, Phu Yen, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, and Khanh Hoa), currently headed by Mr. Vo Ngoc Hiep, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province.
