Providing more than 63 tons of organic fertilizer to cinnamon growers in Xuan Hoa and Nghia Do

Lao Cai Province Agricultural Extension and Services Center has just coordinated to distribute more than 63 tons of organic microbial fertilizer to 42 households in Xuan Hoa and Nghia Do communes participating in the organic cinnamon growing model.

Provided over 63 tons of organic fertilizer to farmers in Xuan Hoa and Nghia Do communes.

Of which, Xuan Hoa commune has 12 households with 5 hectares of cinnamon receiving more than 22 tons of fertilizer; Nghia Do commune has 30 households with 10 hectares of cinnamon receiving more than 40.9 tons of fertilizer. This is the second year of the model "Building an organic cinnamon growing model in some northern mountainous provinces, period 2024 - 2026" implemented by the National Agricultural Extension Center, supporting input materials for farmers.

The delivery and receipt activities were attended by representatives of the Provincial Agricultural Extension and Agricultural Services Center, material suppliers, local authorities and beneficiaries. Along with distributing fertilizers, technical staff also organized training on the process of planting and caring for organic cinnamon, and instructed people on proper fertilization.

Providing fertilizer at the right time not only helps cinnamon trees grow and develop well, but also encourages people to expand organic production areas, contributing to building the Lao Cai organic cinnamon brand, increasing income and protecting the ecological environment.
